Majoru’s main business is the slaughter, processing and marketing of beef, pork and lamb products from its abattoir and factory located in Makeni, Lusaka.
Some of the products that are manufactured by Majoru include a variety of hams, bacon, polonies, fresh and smoked sausages, cured and smoked delicatessen, and pate`s. We also specialize in fresh meat cuts of pork, beef, lamb and game.

Majoru is one of the leading experts in the meat processing and distribution sector. Majoru places great emphasis on strategic procurement of animals to ensure that we produce superior quality meat and meat products for the Zambian and international markets. We also place special emphasis on partnering with live-stock farmers who produce natural grass-fed animals, adhere to veterinary regulations, practice sustainable and organic farming methods and work hand in hand with surrounding local small scale and subsistence farmers.
We place great priority on ensuring that our products are of high quality which Majoru is renowned for and we take great care to avoid GMO additives such as Soya meal, and guarantee that we do not use (MDM) Mechanically De-Boned Meat. We select our suppliers of livestock and other input materials very carefully in order to maintain quality, and as much as possible, we procure organic and locally produced materials. We support local farmers, suppliers and businesses. We have enshrined this in our operational creed “Local Product, Global Quality.”
Our portfolio of customers encompasses both individuals and corporations with diverse needs and uses for our products such as restaurants, hotels, lodges, supermarkets, embassies, corporate canteens, schools and we supply products to customers as far as Congo;
Some of our notable customers include Intercontinental Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel, Mfuwe Lodge, Kapani, Lufupa and many other Safari Camps and Lodges in the National Parks country wide.
We have invested in a sizeable and reliable generator, cold rooms of variable sizes, and refrigerated delivery vehicles that guarantee a cold chain system from within our factory to our customers’ premises.
